I am a mother bear. Super protective of my little cubs. So, for the time-being, it is my choice not to show their faces. I like to get creative and share their little sweet feet, or their precious hands creating art. But for now, I share their stories using the following nicknames…
Miss Observant: “Miss O” is an art-lovin’, soccer-ball-kick’, neat-‘n-tidy, perfectionist-in-the-making. At six years-old, she has an i.n.t.e.n.s.e. sense of imagination and creativity, and she always wants everyone around her to do the “right thing” at all times. This little sweetheart loves to help others, and I have been told on countless occasions, is a little “mini-me” (which, of course, makes my heart smile). Oh yeah, and she can definitely be a little bossy-pants too. You can read more about Miss O here and here.
Monkey-in-the-Middle: “Monkey” is a child of a wilful nature to which there is no worldly equal. At four-years-old, she is a fierce leader with a stubbornness matched by no other. Monkey has a heart of g.o.l.d. Sometimes overshadowed by her older and younger sisters, Monkey can retreat into a quiet wallflower when feeling left out or when tossed into new situations. Monkey is our first-one-up/last-one-to-sleep, created-to-break-the-mold little fireball. You can read more about Monkey here and here.
Baby Nugget: “Nugget” is the baby. Only at two-years-old, she is quickly following along in Monkey’s footsteps. Sassy with a carefree attitude, knowing her sisters will always step in to help her along the way. Nugget joins anyone with tears rolling down their faces, stuffed animal in hand, ready to embrace with one of her famous baby bear hugs. Little Baby Nugget has an extremely special place in my heart, due to some very bittersweet circumstances the week of her birth into our family. Nugget needs me just as much as I need her, and we have a very special bond and attachment. Baby Nugget always brings the party along wherever she goes!
